National Poetry Month event funding application: A World of Poetry (April 2020)
National Poetry Month is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Department of Canadian Heritage, the Ontario Arts Council, and the Toronto Arts Council. Thank you to our generous funders!

Please complete a separate application for each poet you are requesting funding for. Hosts may receive funding for up to 3 separate poets.

This application must be submitted by the host of the event. Visit poets.ca/npm for details surrounding eligibility and guildines, or poets.ca/faq for our funding FAQs.

Events must:
> Be related to the NPM2020 theme "A World of Poetry"
> Be free and open to the public; events in fully accessible venues will be prioritized

Applicants must:
> Be the host or organizer of the event
> Not apply for their own funding
> Confirm the reading with the poet in advance of submitting an application

Poets:
> Must be practicing poets with some performance and/or publishing history
> Do *not* have to be members of the League

Publishers and schools are not eligible to receive funding for events through this program.

There is no travel reimbursement available through this program. Visit poets.ca/cpt to learn about our national funding program that provides some travel reimbursement to approved events.

Funded events must feature a poetry reading from the poet -- panel presentations, workshop facilitations, and classroom visits are not eligible to receive funding through this program.
