Registration for SPRH Panel Discussion & Virtual Exhibition - "Voices of the Invisible: Testimonies of Human Rights Abuses in Northern Greece"
🚨 Join us for the Sciences Po Refugee Help's (SPRH) first conference of spring semester: “Voices of the Invisible: Testimonies of Human Rights Abuses in Northern Greece.” 🇬🇷

While a great deal of awareness has been raised on the humanitarian crises on the Greek islands, the crisis on the mainland is often overlooked. Here the combination of often remote camps and ad-hoc/informal settlements in urban areas creates a complex environment where human rights abuses have too often gone unnoticed. Many people are left without access to legal aid and basic needs such as food, accommodation, and hygiene.

2021 was the first year in which more people entered Greece via the mainland than the sea. But it was also a year marked by stricter and stricter policies, thousands of people were denied access to legal aid, education, the most basic needs like food and accommodation. Since November, asylum seekers were barred from the asylum procedure in its entirety.

This online event, including a panel of refugees, artists, and humanitarian workers, aims to shed light on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in northern Greece and amplify the voices of those who experience and witness the crisis every day.
