Title: Life Cycle Analysis of Emerging Green Technologies

Description:
What happens to the lithium in batteries when they are thrown away? What is the energy cost to make a solar panel? What would be the impact on agriculture of biofuel expansion? Interested to learn more about the energy and environmental impacts of renewable energy technologies? Then we invite you to attend a seminar by Dr. Jennifer Dunn on the life cycle analysis of emerging green technologies.

Bio:
Jennifer Dunn is the Director of Research at the Northwestern Argonne Institute of Science and Engineering (NAISE). In that role she works with Northwestern faculty and Argonne scientists and engineers in areas including the energy-water nexus, materials science, high performance computing, and synthetic biology. Her research focuses on the energy and environmental impacts of emerging technologies and she uses life cycle analysis to evaluate technologies including biofuels, lithium-ion batteries, carbon capture, and natural gas based fuels.
