The candidate shall be provided with a facility and radio (if available) in which to perform this skill.
A charged hoseline shall be placed inside the structure so that the candidate shall follow it out.
The candidate shall be taken inside the structure and his/her face-shield darkened so that they cannot see. (turn hood around)
The candidate shall be turned around several times to disorient them.
The candidate shall be given the instructions below before beginning the exercise.

The candidate finding himself/herself disoriented in a hazardous area shall demonstrate the correct procedures for escaping using a hoseline with 100% accuracy.
