A two-day, intensive, training course organised by Scottish Communities Climate Action Network in conjunction with Involve (
www.involve.org.uk). This course is for community activists and others who wish to develop and practice their skills in facilitating deliberative (eg citizen’s assembly type) events -for example to support the development of local climate emergency response plans.
Deliberative processes engage and support diverse groups to work together to make considered decisions and take action on complex issues. Good facilitation enables groups to work cooperatively and effectively together and ensures the involvement of all participants in a meaningful way.
Thanks to funding from Awards for All, we are able to offer this 2-day course at a subsidised rate for those that need it. Please select the fee you can reasonably afford. If cost is still a barrier to your participation, please let us know on the form below.
The full, unsubsidised, cost of the training is £300 per person.,
For those attending from outside the Central Belt we may also be able to support your travel and accommodation expenses.
