SACES Emerging Leaders Application

This application is required as part of the SACES Emerging Leaders application process. At the end of the survey, you will be redirected to a page with your completed form. SAVE that page as PDF (icon in the top right corner) and use it as a cover page for your Emerging Leaders Application packet. This will ensure we have complete application information for all candidates and allow us to cross-check submissions.

Your final application packet must include, in order, (a) Application form (PDF), (b) Personal statement addressing selection criteria (not to exceed 2 pages), (c) CV, and (d) Recommendation letter from a professional familiar with your engagement in counseling and/or counselor education (e.g., professor, supervisor).

Save your completed application in one PDF and email it to president@saces.org no later than 5/15/2020 at 5:00 pm EST. Please include: Emerging Leader Application in the subject line and title your file: EmergingLeaderApp_Firstname.Lastname (example, EmergingLeaderApp_Elizabeth.Villares).

The SACES EL program fosters leadership and mentoring opportunities in counselor education and supervision in conjunction with visibility and inclusivity for members who identify with historically marginalized communities. Please indicate your understanding of the SACES 2020-2022 Emerging Leaders Program by checking each component. If selected to serve as a SACES 2020-2022 Emerging Leader, you commit to the following:

I will attend the SACES 2020 pre-conference (10/22/2020) and conference (10/23-10/24/2020), including the business luncheon.

I will provide 30 hours of service (15 per year) to SACES from October 2020 - 2022.

I will engage in quarterly small group mentoring experiences.

I will maintain an active SACES membership.

I will submit quarterly reports as requested.

I understand I will receive complimentary workshop & luncheon, business luncheon, and conference registration for the SACES 2020 conference.

I understand I am responsible for my own transportation and lodging to the SACES 2020 conference.
