Site Based Rules and Expectations
1. All vehicles driven to school must be registered with the school and the student parking permit must be displayed in a location clearly visible from the outside of the vehicle.
2. Speed limit on school grounds is 10 MPH in parking lots. Operating a vehicle in a dangerous or reckless manner on school grounds or in the immediate neighborhood may results in a possible suspension and/or revocation of parking privileges.
3.Student parking permits are not approved to be used in faculty lots, reserved, or visitor spaces. Hang tags are specifically assigned and are not permitted to be transferred to any other vehicle other than those on this sheet at any time or for any reason, including their use at Warren Tech.
4. Students are not allowed to loiter in the parking lots or vehicles before, during, or after school hours.
5. Parking in fire lanes, no parking zones and/or restricted areas is prohibited.
6. Violations of rules and expectations may lead to fines, parking boot, or towing as well as law enforcement involvement and school disciplinary consequences.
7. Spaces in the student lot are not assigned and are available to all CSHS students with a valid driver's license and valid parking permit. Spaces are on a "first come, first serve" basis. No pre-buying for those who do not without a current driver's license.
8. Report a concern, accident, or vandalism to a campus supervisor immediately.
Note: Students have ten (10) days to dispute or contest any fines. Failure to contest a fine within ten (10) days will lead to the imposition of the fine. Fines shall be paid within thirty (30) days and it is the students responsibility to communicate with parents any fines and/or any school or police consequences.
Jefferson County Public Schools and Chatfield Senior High School assume no responsibility for any damage to vehicles parked on school property or the loss of any articles contained therein. Failure to comply with with the terms of this agreement can result in the revocation of parking privileges without refund, disciplinary consequences, or referral to police.
