The True Food Farm is a field trip destination designed to help students grow lifelong food knowledge and skills. If you are interested in bringing a group of students to the True Food Farm this fall, please complete the form below by Monday, September 12. Field trip dates and times are limited; a CWS staff member will contact you to confirm your request status. Here's what you can expect from a field trip to the True Food Farm:
Location: MPS Culinary and Wellness Center, 812 Plymouth Avenue N, Minneapolis
Dates: September 27, 28, 29 and October 4, 11, 12, 13. Field trips will be scheduled in the morning and afternoon.
Setting: Field trips will be located OUTDOORS at the True Food Farm, so students should be prepared for outdoor weather and activities. Field trips may be canceled or rescheduled due to weather.
Activities: Hands-on gardening activities, STEAM curricular connections, pollinator education, nutrition lessons, culinary activities, and vegetable tasting. Activities and lessons may be tailored to your group.
Transportation: Groups visiting the farm must arrange their own transportation. Active transportation is encouraged. CWS is located near the intersection of Lyndale and Plymouth Avenues in north Minneapolis - near Metro Transit city bus stops and protected bike lanes. Limited funding is available for yellow school bus transportation.
Cost: Free!
