A Teddy Tennis coach will be working with children aged 2 ½ - 6, and must be able to motivate young children as well as teaching the essential foundation skills for tennis. Coaches for our innovative program, must be energetic, fun spirited individuals who love working with young children. Successful coaches are often college students enrolled in sports related or child  developmental degrees, teachers and/or parents but we have hired part time and full time staff from all walks of life.

Prior to closing due to the pandemic, we had jobs available in various areas of Bergen County throughout the year and had programs running mornings, afternoons, and weekends. Some staff only work a few hours per week, others work more. Work is also available on a seasonal basis, so if you can only commit for one season, that’s fine with us - we have jobs to suit any schedule. We will be building back our clientle; therefore, some flexibility will be needed at the start.

Experience working with young children in any type of setting is important. Knowledge of tennis is a plus but not mandatory. We will train you. All successful applicants will be required to undergo a background check. Our one of a kind teaching method uses pictures, videos, music and stories to help guide a child through an interactive learning adventure. The Coaches use our state of the art coaching software to deliver a Teddy Tennis lesson; therefore, some very basic computer skills are required.
