IDA Workshop: Festival Strategy | Project Information Sheet
Be wary of resting on your laurels! In this workshop, IDA’s Director of Artist Programs Abby Sun and guest speaker Chase Whiteside (co-director, América) will walk filmmakers through the process of developing a film festival strategy that takes the particular expectations, needs, and prospects of your individual film into account. Register here.

Filmmakers with projects at any stage are encouraged to attend. This event will include a 30-minute workshop of several audience members’ projects, to model what festival strategizing could look like. In order to be considered for this portion of the event, please fill out this form.

Which one of the following is your priority in crafting a festival strategy? We understand it can be difficult to isolate one priority, because a successful festival run might include multiple priorities. However, strategies are developed around specific goals. *
Name one film whose festival run successfully achieved the priority you identified you the prior question. This film should be similar in terms of format, length, and stylistic approach, but does not need to be similar in terms of topic or subject matter.
Will you be able to attend the IDA Workshop: Festival Strategy, on December 7, at 2PM PT? *
