Kindergarten Waiver Form for the 2024-25 SY
Beginning with the 2024-25 school year, children must attain the age of 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024 to be automatically eligible for kindergarten.

If your child turns 5 years old on or after September 2, 2024, you may apply for a waiver. The early admission waiver process will include a parent/guardian survey as well as a readiness screener and play skills observation conducted by certified Ledyard Public Schools staff. Final decisions regarding early admission will be determined by the building principal.

If you would like to apply for the waiver, complete this form and a Ledyard Public Schools staff member will contact you to schedule a screening appointment.

*Note:  All students currently attending Ledyard Public Schools PK Programs who will turn 5 on or before January 1, 2025 will be matriculated to kindergarten and do not need to apply for the waiver. Parents/Guardians of these students should complete the Kindergarten Enrollment and Screening form located on the district and elementary websites.
