CxU NExUS 2023: Tackling Natural Environment, Urban & Social elements for Global Health Action
Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of October 2023 at University of Melbourne (Parkville Campus)

Are you a keen student who has been involved in global health? Would you like to share about a research project you have been/are currently involved in that focuses on improving population health?

At the CxU 2023 Global Health student conference, we will be hearing from a range of experts in the field of Climate Change, One Health, Built Environment and Social Determinants of Health to understand the impacts of these on human health.  While it is a privilege to hear from these experts, it is also inspiring to hear from peers. This is why we want to hear from you. The aim is for you to inspire fellow student delegates about current fields of research in global health, key issues and where action is needed.

A3 Poster Format:

- A3 Scientific poster (any choice of designs, but 11.7in x 16.5in dimension) [E-poster]
- Core elements of Title, Backgrounds, Methods, Findings, Discussion, “Take Home message” (conclusion) and references
- Clear mentioning of affiliations, research contributors/supervisors if presenting from a group research project
- Word limit - 700 words

-  A maximum of 2 minutes will be allocated for the delegate to briefly explain the poster.


Powerpoint Presentation Format:

A maximum of 8 minutes with 8 - 10 slides
- Core elements of Title, Backgrounds, Methods, Findings, Discussion, “Take Home message” (conclusion) and references
- Clear mentioning of affiliations, research contributors/supervisors if presenting from a group research project


Selection criteria:

1. Demonstration of connection to Natural Environment, Built Environment or Social influences on Health [desirable but not mandatory]
2. Demonstration of innovation, breaking barriers to health, or collaboration of different teams
3. Demonstration of a clear message that fellow delegates can implement/take away regarding tackling global health issues
4. Ensuring that a mix of different topics and disciplines are selected
