The Montserrat Population Policy (draft) is aimed at fostering a vibrant, equitable, and resilient future for the island. This policy aligns population growth with key economic, social, and environmental objectives, focusing on strategies to improve quality of life, manage migration, ensure demographic resilience, and build a robust data ecosystem.
The Government of Montserrat commissioned the policy as part of the UNSDG Joint Fund Programme on Integrated Population and Policy Solutions to
Accelerate SDGs Achievement in Barbados and Montserrat. It was derived out of extensive consultations with national stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, and international partners and aligns with national policy priorities.
The public's input is essential to shaping this policy to ensure it meets the
island’s development needs. As such, you are invited to participate in the public review process by completing this survey form.
This survey is comprised of 4 sections:
- Section 1 captures information about you, the respondent.
- Section 2 focuses on the demographic challenges facing Montserrat.
- Sections 4-7 seek your thoughts on the policy outcomes and strategies to address the challenges.
- Section 8 allows you to give feedback on the policy in its entirety
