Could subconscious sources of stress be causing your symptoms?
Take the quiz! Answer four questions to determine how likely you are to have physical symptoms, depression or anxiety from conscious and/or subconscious sources of stress. Often these "hidden" stresses that are not experienced consciously are significant contributors to health issues.

For those with 'yes' responses to multiple questions, the MAP Method (TM) of advanced neural retraining can be instrumental in resolving hidden sources of emotional stress.

Risk factor 1: Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
The more "yes" answers you check in this section, the more likely you developed a repressive emotional coping style in response to adverse childhood events (ACEs). This risk factor alone contributes to lifelong unconscious stress, anxiety, depression and physical symptoms.
Please indicate any difficulties you faced as a child (to age 18). Please check all that apply.
Risk factor 2: Repressive Emotional Coping Style
In this section, each "yes" answer indicates a repressive emotional coping style. You tend to suppress your emotions and put others needs before your own. Over time, this leads to an accumulation of unconscious stress which is a risk factor for developing physical symptoms. Note that in most cases these traits are developed in response to childhood traumas identified in question 1.
Please indicate all personality traits that you identify with--select all that apply.
Risk factor 3: Current Life Stress

The impact of life stresses are magnified by a emotionally repressive coping style (scores from questions 2). Significant sources of life stress coupled with childhood trauma and/or repressive personality traits increase the risk that suppressed emotional stress may play a role in your health.
Please indicate all sources of life stress, either concurrent with symptoms or leading up to the onset of symptoms.
Risk factor 4: History of Related Health Issues
These are typical manifestations of an overflow of repressed or suppressed subconscious emotions. As Dr. John Sarno describes in his book, The Mind Body Prescription, it is common for susceptible individuals (those with multiple 'yes' answers to the previous questions) to experience one or more of these conditions.

Due to a phenomenon called the "symptom imperative" if treatment resolves one condition, another will arise to take its place until the underlying emotional stresses are resolved either through introspection, insight therapy or by retraining the brain through neural retraining.
Please indicate all mental or physical health issues that you have experienced.
How should I interpret my results?
The questions assess related risk factors: Adverse childhood events (Q1) engender repressive emotional coping styles (Q2) which magnify the impact of trauma events throughout life (Q3). Finally, a history of one or more physical expressions of hidden subconscious emotions (Q4) would further indicate a predisposition towards "overflows" causing physical symptoms.

If you see this pattern in yourself, and would like to find out how these hidden emotions, beliefs and behavior patterns can be quickly, easily and painlessly resolved by working with the subconscious mind through MAP sessions via videoconference, please watch the video below or visit the following links:
