Lakehead District School Board, Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board and Conseil scolaire de district catholique des Aurores borรฉales provides school bus service on an "opt-in" basis for ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ผ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป ๐ญ.๐ฒ ๐ธ๐บ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ผ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฏ.๐ฎ ๐ธ๐บ from their board-designated school. The distance-based computation rests solely with Student Transportation Services of Thunder Bay.
* Only those students planning on attending one of theย senior elementary schools or high schoolsย listed below are required to apply for school bus transportation annually:
- St. Ignatius
- St. Patrick
All other students returning to LDSB JK-8 schools, TBCDSB/CSDCAB JK-6 schools next year are assumed to be requesting the same transportation arrangements as this year for next and do not need to re-apply. If you need to make a change for students returning to these elementary schools for next year, please contact your elementary school office directly.

* School bus stops are generally further away for older students with senior elementary students expected to walk up to 800 meters and secondary students expected to walk up to 1600 meters to access a bus stop.
* Bus routes and schedules are planned during the spring for the following school year. In order to ensure bus service is scheduled for your student, applications for school bus transportation for senior elementary school and secondary school students must be received by April 30th (EXTENDED UNTIL MAY 10, 2024).
* Transportation will only be provided for an alternate address in joint custody situations which must be listed on their school record. If you wish to apply for joint custody transportation, submit two separate applications, one for the primary address and another for the alternate joint custody address.
