Each day from March 20 thru June 7, we’ll feature a different non-US destination on an 80-day reading trip around the world.
- Over 50% of the book must take place outside of the US. The point of the challenge is for readers to travel the world through books.
- You may only submit one book per pen name per country, but there is no limit to how many books you may submit as long as they are set in different countries.
- For the purposes of this challenge, we can only accept books with real settings on Earth (no settings in space or fantasy worlds).
- You may also submit books set primarily on a ship, on a train traveling across multiple non-US countries, or in the air on a plane or hot air balloon flying through non-US airspace.
- Books may be set in any time period and may also take place in an alternate timeline as long as the setting is recognizable as a real place. (For example, steampunk Victorian London or San Francisco if Japan had won World War II.)
Please give as much information as you can to help us map out the "itinerary" for this challenge.
Here are some possible examples:
Paris, France, Europe
Temuco, Chile, Patagonia, South America
Ship, Nile River, Africa
If your book takes place on a ship at sea, on an airplane, a hot air balloon, a train, or another setting that defies categorization, please fill in the line for "other" with an explanation.
