Children get the chance to play freely, explore the world around them and pursue their interests at KOOP Summer Adventure Play Program using an abundance of materials that children can use however they want.  Trained playworkers staff the site and believe children are competent, capable and trustworthy. Playworkers offer kids gentle and individualized support, an attitude of non-judgement and unconditional positive regard.  This summer program is magical because it has something for every child and is ripe for all play types, full of time, space and permission to bring their dreams to life.  Learn more about how this is possible on our website!  This morning-only camp is recommended for ages 3-5 who are fully bathroom independent and precautions for Covid-19 will be followed. Camp takes place at University Primary School (51 Gerty Drive, Champaign) from 8:30am - 12:30 and is led by 2 preschool co-teachers who transform into playworkers during the summer as they shift to a focus on supporting play! We will offer 4 weeks of camp between June 6 & July 1.

1. KOOP camp for youngers will be mostly outside, with some indoor options as well. We'll send you an info email closer to the beginning of camps outlining everything you'll need to prepare and pack for a successful week of adventure play camp. The home base for the younger camp is the fenced playground at University Primary School and one of the classroom spaces we transform for the summer months.
2. Complete this form fully and only once. Email Kelsey@KoopAdventurePlay.org if you need to make changes later. Only one child per submission, please!
3. There will be no auto-email after registration as in previous years. When you sign up, please only choose the weeks you need and intend to pay for as I will likely have shift to turning other people away very quickly based on your initial selections. Registration is essentially requested when you fill out your initial form.
4. In the 2-3 weeks following your registration (estimate based on current workload), you'll receive a personal email from Kelsey confirming your spots and giving you instruction on payments. When payments are opened, you must pay within the timeframe offered or your spot will be forfeited to the next person on the waitlist. Payments are non-refundable and non- transferable. Camps filled up in 12 hours last year, so we're doing our best with that volume!

6. We are requiring proof of vaccination or weekly testing for the older camp. Since vaccinations are not possible for all ages, we anticipate requiring weekly testing for the younger group. All other Covid-19 protocols will be upheld such as masking and regular sanitation. (Last year we had 8 weeks of camp and no cases or exposures!) More info on this will come out closer to time based on current pandemic factors, so stay tuned.
