Cougar Hour Interest Survey
Dear Parents: Please complete the anonymous survey to assist us in shaping our Cougar Hour afterschool offerings for the second semester. If you have more than one child attending HSP, please complete a separate survey for each. 

Please note that the below offerings are not yet guaranteed for the second semester. Should there be too little interest for a particular club, we will not offer it for the upcoming semester. ESP, Boys Club, Girls Club​, and Girl Scouts​ are not included here because ​as they​ a part of our permanent Cougar Hour offerings. If you have a question about winter or spring afterschool Sports offerings, please contact Kristina Wilhelm, as these run concurrently yet separately from the Cougar Hour clubs. 

Once we have reviewed the survey results, and the second semester Cougar Hour clubs are finalized, we will follow up with the sign-up instructions (including ESP, Boys Club, and Girls Club). Thank you for your time!

Robotics or Advanced Robotics: 

Grades: 1st - 5th (Robotics) or 6-8th (Adv. Robotics)

Description: The Stemtree Robotics program uses the wonder and genius of robotics to inspire students and help them learn engineering and robotics. Students will apply their knowledge and skills of basic science, model construction, computer programming, and problem solving to explore these topics. Our robotics program offers a structured, yet flexible curriculum that gives students a solid foundation and necessary skills to think critically, problem-solve, build solutions. It is both a perfect introduction to the world of robotics for younger students and an opportunity to expand the knowledge base of older students. During each of our programs, we will assess each student’s proficiency in robotics & engineering.

Description: Open to K-5 students of all proficiency levels, the Spanish Café uses authentic speaking and literacy activities to help students express information about themselves and about the world around them in Spanish!

Flamenco Rhythm and Dance: 

Grades: 2nd - 5th Grade

Description: Flamenco rhythm and dance classes are for boys and girls in grades 2-5 at Holy Spirit Preparatory School. Students explore cultural and emotional expression while exercising their bodies. The minds also get to work to coordinate the body and memorize movement sequences. Perhaps the thing that brings the biggest smiles will be the rhythm exercises, which are puzzles embodied. You might just hear your kids rattling out their soniquete at home after a few classes!

Sewing: 

Grades: 1st - 5th Grade

Description: Offering lessons in both hand and machine sewing, students benefit from learning this life skill while strengthening hand-eye coordination and goal completion.

Description: Students develop gymnastic skills, muscle strength, coordination, have fun and move around during the lessons provided by a gymnastic coach.
