PARADE INFORMATION
The
Georgia Strawberry Festival Grand Parade will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10 A.M.
Line up by 9:15 A.M.
CONTEST
We
ask each entry to be strawberry themed. There will be an award for the Berry
Best Float for $500 AND $50 For Children Bike contest. You don’t
have to register for the contest. Line up must start at 9:15 to be judged. All
participants riding a bike under the age of 16 MUST wear a helmet. If you
are riding a bike meet beside First Baptist. Winners will be announced at 10:45
at the Main Gazebo on William Wainwright St.
LINE UP: Participants that have preregistered (returned this form)
by April 15th are requested
to meet at Liberty Park on Liberty St for further instruction. ROUTE: Parade will exit from Calhoun St. (side of Reynolds First
Baptist Church), turn right onto Winston St. (Hwy 128), turn left onto Montague
St. (past old hardware store), then parade will disburse unloading/pickup at the Armory 86 W
Wainwright St.
RULES
Safety
of the parade participants and the viewers is our first concern. We ask
that you follow these few simple rules for safety:

Candy MAY NOT be thrown or distributed during the parade. ***Updated January 2019**** Attire, music, and costumes must be appropriate as this is
a family-friendly event. The Parade Committee reserves the right to reject any
entry which they deem inappropriate or not representative of this community
celebration. This includes organized groups which appear to be
participating for the purpose of protesting for or against a cause. * No jumping
on and/or off any moving vehicle during the parade. * Children may walk in the
Teddy Bear Parade and should be accompanied by an adult if under 5 years old.
Children who are riding on floats, trailers, trucks, etc. must be
accompanied by adults* Animals must be kept under the control of their owner.
Horses
must have current Coggins test.
The
Georgia Strawberry Festival has put preventive measures in place due to the
spread of COVID-19. However, attending an event could increase your risk of
contracting the coronavirus. By entering the facility, you voluntarily assume
all risk and agree that you will not hold the Georgia Strawberry Festival, City
of Reynolds, and all associations liable for any resulting illness or injury.
