Journey to Medicine Research Team Application
Welcome to the Journey to Medicine Application Form! Journey to Medicine is a nonprofit organization that provides students interested in medicine with the tools necessary to thrive in the medical field. Through the website, students are provided with various informational articles, videos, and programs that familiarize them with the required steps prior to entering the field of medicine and methods to increase one’s chance of entering the field of medicine. Topics covered on the website range from science-related AP classes all the way to medical school graduation. The organization consists of six teams - research, journalism, medicine journal, presentation, publicity, and tutoring - as well as countless programs available to students soon, allowing applicants to choose the areas that most adequately fit their interests.

The application form consists of 3 sections:
1. Personal Information
2. Intern Expectations Confirmation
3. Experience

Applicants are allowed to apply for multiple teams and obtain multiple positions. If you would like to apply for the Research Team but do not have direct experience in research, please include your experiences that are similar to research (e.g., being a member of your school's Science Olympiad Club).

Research Sector
The research team is in charge of researching the various topics that are covered within the website. They provide detailed information and data that they find about the topics through their research which the journalism and presentation sector utilize when creating different media such as articles and videos. Researchers will conduct in-depth studies and analysis of topics such as the organization’s medical school database, specialties in medical schools, internships and summer opportunities, and new innovations in the medical field. Lastly, outstanding researchers will be invited to work on their original research paper in teams of 3-4, engaging in the completion of an entire scientific research project.
