I will as a Manager and/or a Coach: (1) Obtain and maintain all current required clearances. (2) Treat all officials associated with the game of softball with respect and fairness. (3) Always promote a sense of fair play and good sportsmanship. (4) Provide training and instruction equally to all players. (5) Motivate each player to perform at their own maximum skill level. (6) Not condone the use of tobacco, alcohol or illegal drugs by any player at any time. (7) Make the game about the players at all times, not the adults. (8) Be positive and promote the mission statement of the Pittsburgh Power Organization. (9) Not engage in profane, insulting, harassing, or abusive language or behavior. (10) Set a consistent example of self‐discipline, appearance, and professionalism. (11) Be fair and consistent in the administration of discipline when appropriate. (12) Place the physical and emotional well‐being of every player above winning. (13) Maintain an environment of open communications with players and parents. (14) Not possess or use any illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia. (15) Utilize social media in an appropriate manner. (16) Discourage committed players from playing for any other fastpitch travel organization. *
Recruiting within Power - If another player from another Power team expresses interest in joining at the end of the season, as a manager/coach, I will ensure the "Recruiting within Power" policy if followed, which is found in the Player/Parent Code of Conduct. *
I also agree that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I may be subject to one or more of the following disciplinary actions at the discretion of the Pittsburgh Power Executive Board: (1) A written warning from the Pittsburgh Power Executive Board. (2) One or more game suspension during which I may not participate either as a manager, coach, or spectator. (3) A full tournament suspension during which I may not participate either as a manager, coach, or spectator. (4) A suspension for the remainder of the season during which I may not participate either as a manager, coach, or spectator. (5) A permanent suspension from any involvement with the Pittsburgh Power. *
