Parent Need Number TWO-F  I can be a great audience member for the Marching Band at the  CBA 5A Metro Regional Festival performance October 16 @ Littleton HS Stadium. *
Parent Need Number TWO-G  I can be a great audience member for the Marching Band at the  CBA State 5A Championships October 27-28 at the Air Force Academy. *

Parent Need Number THREE - (This position is currently filled but will be necessary in future years - consider if it might be something you would like to do in future years) I can step up to take over the administration of the Marching Band Uniforms.  This is ideally a 2-3 year commitment and would include passing on routines and processes onto another parent at the end of your time in the position.  This is overseeing the process - others will help, but we need one in charge.   *
Parent Need Number FOUR - (This position is currently filled but will be necessary in future years - consider if it might be something you would like to do in future years) I can assist in the administration of the Marching Band Uniforms.  Aspects can include: sizing, fitting, ironing, cleaning, help on contest or game days, inventory, follow-up care, student training, and/or others. *
Parent Need Number FIVE - I can administrate the parent volunteers who move marching band equipment at the football games and contests.  Includes knowing where everything should go (attending some practices), understanding the needs to get equipment moved, soliciting parent assistance in moving equipment.  Mechanically oriented persons will have an easier time (emergency repair, jury rigging, creative thinking), but any parent could learn how to make this work.  This is an IMPORTANT position and does require some accountability (potential penalty points at contests, delays in half time schedules).  *

Parent Need Number SEVEN - I can Assist with the MANAGEMENT of meals for the marching band at contests.  Includes creating a budget that will feed healthy meals to 42 students and 5-10 adults.  Can include: soliciting donations or discounts from businesses, communicating with the boosters for purchasing, working to provide accommodations for allergies and vegetarian options, coordinating parent volunteers to aid in the preparation and serving of the meals, and communicate with contest coordinators on locating appropriate serving locations.   This is a large role, but there are many parents ready to help. *

Parent Need Number NINE - I can SERVE concessions for the September 14 Douglas County Marching Showcase.  Each band provides two parents, you will be allowed to step out to watch the CV performance.  We do need 2 volunteers! *

Parent Need Number TEN - I am willing to spearhead sales for a discount card for CV Athletic events - Designed for parents to get reduced tickets to CV athletic events.  The band gets 75% of the proceeds.  This is totally up in the air at this point, would require problem solving and initiative. *

Parent Need Number ELEVEN I can coordinate and man a table at the December 16 Feeder Festival to provide information to elementary and middle school parents about the CV Band to promote better transition and parental involvement at CV.   *

Parent Need Number THIRTEEN I can organize the  8th grade banquet to help incoming students be informed about the CV Band Program.  Arrange for meal donations from parents, arrange for student and parent participation (advocacy and information).  Make invitations to be distributed to ALL CRMS, Aspen View and Academy Charter 8th grade band students. *

Parent Need Number EIGHTEEN I can administrate the SPRING GALA.  This is a big job, but it should be a job of delegation rather than doing everything yourself.  Coordinate decorations, facilitate the catering, table rentals and place setting rentals.  Monitor ticket sales and adapt rental and catering needs. *

Parent Need Number NINETEEN I can organize the decorations the SPRING GALA.  The plan for this was already developed and will simply continue from last year.  Theme will be the same.  All plans are continuing. *

Parent Need Number TWENTY I can organize the SILENT AUCTION for the SPRING GALA.  This is a BIG job and you MUST be able to delegate some duties and organize parent/student help.  Coordinate the business and family donations for presentation at the Gala. *

Parent Need Number THIRTY-THREE I use EGO battery powered lawn tools and am willing to purchase (or already have) a 7.5ah battery ($359 on Amazon) and loan it to the marching band for September and October.  We are looking for 6 to potentially replace the generator we use for shows.  We won't purchase the inverter until we're sure we have the batteries to run it. *
