ITMS Family Book Club!
At Indian Trail Middle School, we believe reading and learning begin at home. We want to help create opportunities for families to read, learn, and spend time together!

This year, with the help of a generous grant from the Kiwanis Club of Plainfield, we are excited to offer our first Family Book Club. How does it work?
  1. Fill out this form (one per family).
  2. Your family will receive a free copy of the book Belly Up by Stuart Gibbs to keep, and read together.
  3. Trivia contests, information about specific chapters, and information about our Family Book Club Night will be shared on a Family Book Club Website with participating families.
  4. On Thursday, February 9th we will invite participating families to attend our Family Book Club Night; a party and celebration of all things related to our book!
So, what's Belly Up about?
Henry the Hippo, the beloved mascot of FunJungle, America’s hottest new tourist attraction, is dead. Twelve-year-old Teddy Fitzroy suspects foul play, but when no one believes him, he decides to investigate himself. To his surprise, he discovers that plenty of people wanted Henry gone — and the list of suspects keeps growing. As Teddy searches through the clues and asks too many questions, it becomes clear that he too might end up belly up.

The publisher considers this book suitable for grades 3 and up. Use your own judgement about whether younger children in your family will enjoy it and whether or not you consider it appropriate.
