Thank you for your interest in joining this support group for Muslims whose marriages have ended. Here you will find welcoming and supportive people who have shared similar experiences. Facilitators will guide the group to discuss important issues surrounding divorce including:
Overwhelming Emotions & Grief
Depression & Loneliness
Anger, Resentment, & Unhealthy Tactics to Avoid Pain
Caring for Children
Taking Charge of Finances
Self-Care, Self-Development & Self-Improvement
Our Relationship with Allah
Healing & Moving On
Participants can expect to learn stories from the Seerah, utilize Qur'anic verses, delve deeper into the science of the human psyche, and participate in group discussions and individual reflection exercises that were developed by licensed professionals, educators, and religious teachers to meet the unique needs of divorced Muslims.
Our first session will be on Thursday, September 29th Insha'Allah, and we will meet online for 8-weeks. We encourage participants to commit to all ten weeks to truly benefit from the program, but this is not a requirement. There is a small $50 fee for the program to cover overhead costs that can be paid to support@lifeafterdivorce.us through PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo @LifeAfterDivorce.
