This survey serves to measure interest in an Occitan Studies working group to start in fall, focusing on contemporary culture/linguistics/literature. In contrast to most Occitan courses and programs in the United States which focus on the medieval period, this group would focus primarily, but not exclusively, on the modern/contemporary period. Depending on interest, part of the working group may be dedicated to language learning (reading and grammar).

No. Meeting should just be article discussion. With Knowledge of other Romance languages any encountered Occitan should be comprehensible
