  - Connect with one another
  - Announce and welcome our new 2019 AmeriCorps Alums Segal Fellows
  - Take part in Service Year Alliance's "Service Year Community ChangeMaker Summit"

5:00-6:00pm: Informal Segal-only gathering with those who can arrive early (public area @ Busboys & Poets--look for the Segal Logo)
6:00pm-7:30: The Segal Network will join Service Year Alliance for their "Service Year Community ChangeMaker Summit" Reception (private room, look for summit signage in restaurant, reception lasts until 8pm)

In addition to meeting/re-connecting with Segal Fellows and partners across the DC area, we will have the chance to announce and welcome our newest AmeriCorps Alums Segal Fellows.  Over 102 service alumni from across the country applied for this year's 3 AC Alums Segal Fellowships, which are awarded in partnership with AmeriCorps Alums @ Service Year Alliance.

We will gather together as a part of a larger partner event with Service Year Alliance, and their "Service Year Community ChangeMaker Summit." The summit is bringing together existing and emerging Service Year Impact Communities, along with thought leaders, elected officials, and service year partners to share insights and strategize ways to utilize service years as a powerful, multi-faceted community development tool.

The 6pm reception will feature a short welcome from Andy Shallal, the founder of Busboys and Poets, a restaurant and cafe well known in the DC area for serving as an anchor and convening space for community activists and artists. We will hear from SYA's new CEO Jesse Colvin, and we will announce the new AmeriCorps Alums Segal Fellows.
