Dear Parents/Caregivers

Your child has expressed interest in representing the school in the North Harbour Water Polo Year 9 and 10 2024 Competition. 

Details are as follows:

COMPETITION COMMENCEMENT DATES -  
Term 1: Trials, Training and Grading Games (Dates below)
Term 2: Monday 29th April 2024 - Friday 5th July 2024 - Training and Friday Games 
Term 3: Monday 22nd July 2024 - Friday 27th September 2024 - Training and Friday Games 
Term 4: Monday 14th October 2024 - Friday 6th December 2024 -  Training and Friday Games 

VENUE - Millennium Institute/National Aquatic Centre, 17 Antares Place, Mairangi Bay

COMPETITION PLAYING DAY AND TIME - Friday's between 3.30pm - 8.30pm (Term 2, 3 and 4)

TRIALS -

Monday 26th February 2024 
Monday 4th March 2024 
All trials are from 4:30pm to 5:30pm at the AUT Millennium Institute. Further details about trials will be provided to those that register.

TRAINING - To be advised at the conclusion of trials. 

TERM 1 GRADING GAMES - Friday 5th April 2024 and Friday 12th April 2024

UNIFORM - AJHS swimming water polo togs are compulsory - made to order.
Girls                   $124.00
Boys Brief         $70.00

AJHS Water Polo Togs Order Form 2024

TRANSPORT - It is the responsibility of parent/caregivers to either transport their child to the games and trainings each week or to arrange for another parent/caregiver to transport them. The school does not provide transport for this competition.

REGISTRATION FEE -  Term 1,  $120.00 per student for term 1
                                       Term 2, 3 and 4 $160.00 per student per term
(It is preferable for students to be committed for the entire year). 

COMPULSORY ADMINISTRATION FEE - $25.00 (One payment of $25 will be charged regardless of the number of sports played)

REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE - Friday 16th February 2024

TERM 1 REGISTRATION FEE DUE BY - Friday 16th February 2024
TERM 2 REGISTRATION FEE DUE BY - Thursday 12th April 202 (End of term 1).

REFUND POLICY - Once teams are named there will be no refunds of Registration Fees or the Sports Administration Fee unless an approved medical certificate is provided.

For this length of time and at this level of competition each school team requires a coach and a manager.

Coaches will be required to coach the team twice a week, one game and one training. 

Managers are required to organise the team, ensuring all players and parents/caregivers are aware of game times and trainings.  Ideally the Manager will also attend games to support the coach and team.
Without parent volunteers it is impossible for teams to participate in the competition so if you are available to assist with either role please tick the appropriate box on the form.

To ensure your child is registered for the College Water Polo competition, please complete the following form and submit by Friday the 16th of February 2024. Please also ensure that the registration fee of $120.00 (Term 1) plus $25.00 Administration Fee and water polo togs are paid by Friday 16th of February 2024.

Our preferred method of payment is by internet banking. Please make payment to our school bank account ASB 12 3107 0017930 00. Please use WPC and your child's name as reference for payment.
