It is that time! A Program Bio is the audience's first impression of who you are. It is an opportunity to share a little bit about all the time and talents that went into creating the show that the audience is about to sit down and enjoy!
When writing your bio for the program think of things that set you apart. Do not just list all of the previous shows you have been in and roles that you have played, simply choose your favorite or the ones that stand out to you.
Create a bio that tells the story of you!
Below are some example questions to get you brainstorming. Please note that your bio should be around 625 characters in length or about 150 words. This includes every letter, number punctuation mark and space. Please make sure that your bio stays within 625 characters or 150 words.
When formatting your bio there are a few things that you should be aware of. Your name should be in BOLD followed by the (ROLE you play in parenthesis.) All shows that you list should be ITALICIZED. Please refer to the
formatting in the sample bio below. The production team reserves the right to edit your bio if it does not fit the above guidelines.
Brainstorming Questions:
- What school do you attend? What grade are you in?
- If you are a senior where do you plan on attending school in the fall?
- What is something interesting about yourself?
- Is there something interesting or exciting you have done or achieved? What is your proudest accomplishment?
- What are your goals for the future?
- Are you involved in any extracurricular activities or sports?
- Do you have any hobbies?
