This form shall be utilized as a nomination form for a Non-Newcastle High School student or graduate to be inducted into the NHS Hall of Fame who has contributed to the district and its schools. Examples of inductees as honorary members have included teachers and coaches who served in the district. The deadline for nomination is May 31st, 2024.
Nomination information will be sent to Bryce Hoffman at Newcastle High School.
To be eligible, the candidate must by ten years beyond his/her graduation date, and not an active employee of Weston County School District #1.
General criteria to be considered in the evaluation shall be:
- Exemplary Achievement
- Honors and Awards
- Service to the School District's Community
Accurate contact information of the nominee is important to the committee, and allows for ease of communication if nominee is selected to be inducted.
The application narrative should tell the nominee's story in a thorough manner. The committee members may not know your applicant, therefore insufficient details does not allow committee members to make an informed decision. Incomplete applications will not be considered by the committee until completed.
This year's induction ceremony will occur on Thursday of Homecoming week 2024. Tickets will be available for purchase in the high school office. Inductees and their immediate household will be admitted free.
