UTD Alpha Epsilon Delta, a Pre-Health Honor Society, is excited to announce the third annual Wendy's Eagles Philanthropic Event! Things will look a little different this year due to COVID-19, but cancer doesn't stop so neither will we! We are committed to raising money for the Lymphoma Research Foundation, so in place of our typical Color Run, we are hosting a Virtual Rally.
The Rally will include opening and closing ceremonies with a chance to win raffle prizes, along with keynote speaker Dr. Wendy S. Harpham.
Dr. Harpham, the founder of Wendy's Eagles and an adjunct professor at UTD, is on a mission to change the conversation about hope. She was a practicing internist and mother of three when diagnosed with lymphoma in 1990. Two years later she faced a second recurrence and entered a clinical trial of a novel therapy that saved her life and is now standard therapy for lymphoma and other diseases. Come hear her share how your participation in the Rally makes a difference, helping her—and all patients—find hope of benefitting from progress in cancer treatment.
All proceeds benefit Wendy's Eagles and the Lymphoma Research Foundation. In the past two years we have helped raise over $5000 for the Lymphoma Research Foundation. This year, we hope to contribute even more!
