Requesting an Author Event!

Read It Again hosts a very full event calendar, booking several weeks in advance! In order to evaluate and select the best events for our community, a formal proposal is required. All events involve considerable labor, and we want to ensure a successful event for both the author and the bookstore. Please fill out the form below. Our events coordinator will respond within 30 days. 

Currently, we are hosting simple meet and greets in the store. We set the authors up by the front door so they can talk to customers when they walk in. We call these events Author in Residence.

Why do you think RIA Bookstore is a good fit for your book/event?:  Does your book have a local angle? Is your book on a timely or newsworthy subject? If so, how? Who do you imagine is the sort of person attending this event? (Yes, we all hope "everyone" is the answer, but alas we need a more specific answer to accurately market an event.)

Web presence and personal marketing:  I commit to adding Indiebound, RIA's website, and/ or bookshop.org links anywhere I have purchase links (e.g. email signature, social media bios, website purchase pages).  I commit to notifying friends, family, colleagues, and fans about the event at least three times, spaced out appropriately between now and the event. (We will provide you with graphics and scripts if you need them.) *
