Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* assisting with the planning and implementation of virtual and in-person campus events for prospective students/families
* putting together informational materials for events (visit folders, nametags, other promotional material)
* communicating to/with event participants
* creating content and posting about events on OWU Admission social media pages
* recruiting current students to participate in events
* managing event workers and volunteers
* coordinating airport runs and overnight visits
* Attend weekly event planning meetings
* Attend admission events
* etc.
We are looking for students who:
* have strong written and verbal communication stills
* have the ability to work independently, but also willing to ask questions
* have excellent organizational skills and have mastered time management
* can manage multiple projects at one time
* have the ability to think creatively and strategically, as well as to problem solve on the fly
* demonstrate an excitement for the value of the visit experience as part of the college selection process
* eager to directly support the work of the Event Coordinator, but also excited to be part of a larger team
This position will work approximately 8 hours/week and pay is $10.45/hour. More hours on weeks you need to attend an admission’s event.
