2022 Convocation: Parent/Guardian RSVP Form
Opening the school year as a mask-optional campus with nearly 100% of our students and employees vaccinated, means that for the first time since fall 2019, we’ll be able to hold a more traditional Convocation in the amphitheater with our entire community invited to join us. For those of you new to Holton since 2019, Convocation is a time-honored tradition on the first day of school where students process into the amphitheater by grade-level to gather with one another and hear from peers and school leaders as they set a celebratory tone for the school year ahead. Parents are invited to drop their students off as usual (by 8 a.m.) and then park to join us in the Centennial Garden until 8:50 a.m. for coffee and community.Afterwards parents grab a seat in the back of the amphitheater as the program begins at 9:00 a.m. sharp. This year, we’ll have a special ribbon-cutting ceremony in the newly renovated gym following Convocation. Parents are welcome to join that as well. The whole morning’s events will wrap by 10:15 a.m. and students will continue with their first day of classes. Please let us know if you plan to join so we can get an accurate headcount for the coffee and parking.
