KidStage in a nutshell teaches the basics in many areas of theater, from acting, singing, and dancing, to sound, lighting, costumes, make-up, hair, and set construction. Theater is beneficial to children in many ways, including gaining confidence, finding their voice, making friends, and giving them lifelong memories.
The Summer KidStage session will be open to students who are going into 3rd grade through going into 12th grade and will meet on weekdays during the month of June (starting June 3). Students in 3rd-6th grade will meet on weekday mornings from 9am-12pm. They will be working on the show Mr Toad's Mad Adventure. Students in 7th-12th will meet weekdays 1pm-4pm and will be working on the show The Jungle Book. Both of these shows are musicals and the dates of the performances are June 27-30.

Important Dates:
Auditions will be Tuesday and Thursday, May 21 and 23 at 6:00 - 7:30 (no need to come to both, just pick one day). There will be a brief parent meeting at the beginning of the audition so please parents make sure you plan to stay for approximately 15 minutes, and please make plans to pay at this time if possible. There is no need for students to prepare for auditions - they will be reading from parts of the script. We do our best to cast every child who auditions - so there is should be no fear of "not making it".
Rehearsals Days/Times:
"Littles" (Grades 3-6) - June 3-28, Weekdays 9am - 12pm
"Bigs" (Grades 7-12) - June 3-28, Weekdays 1pm - 4pm
Show Dates - There will be 5 shows. June 27-29 at 7:00pm and June 29-30 at 2:00pm.
Price: The cost for the Spring KidStage session is $175 per student. If you have multiple students participating in your household, each additional child will receive a $25 discount (Child one - $175, Child two - $150, Child 3 - $125.00). This is a NON-REFUNDABLE payment and must be paid in cash, check or card at your child auditions. Checks should be made payable to PACOTS (please place your child's name on the memo line).
