Library Time Travel Escape Game
Watch the video, or read the text below to get started.

I'm sure you've heard the rumours.  Strange things have been happening, with famous people who died years ago appearing, full of life, all across campus!  This morning someone said they saw Albert Einstein enjoying a coffee in Dolce Vita.  This afternoon in your lecture, you could have sworn the question at the back came from Maya Angelou.

Your new friend, who is pretty smart about these things, thinks that the space time continuum has somehow become unstable, and so you both head to the Library to read up more about time travel.

You enter the Library and head to the shelves.  But suddenly, as you do, the lights begin to flicker.  The air around you feels thick, and strange, and everything goes dark.

When the lights come on again, you seem to have travelled back in time.  What on earth is going on?  How will you ever get back to your own timeline?  Could there be a way to stabilise things, to stop any more strange time events?  Follow the puzzles, solve the clues, to see if you can find your way back...

How to play
How does it work?
Join in this game from anywhere! You can play this escape room as a group or as individual.  You can compete against friends and try it multiple times.  You can give your team a name, or remain anonymous!

We recommend you open any new links in the game in a new tab/window so you don't lose your progress.

There's no time limit.  Take as long as you need.  Send us a photo/screenshot of your time if you want to go on the social media leaderboard!

I am disabled – are there any restrictions?
At the moment, the main requirements are that you can see the images and text on screen, though we have added captions to the images which will tell you what is there and give information about what the clue might be so that screenreaders can pick up the text.  Remember you can work in a team, and help each other with the game.
