Our Learning Community

School Overview

The vision of Sound Minds Montessori Community is to create a caring space where kids and parents connect to nurture a love for learning, following Montessori values. We aim to help children grow as independent, creative, and kind individuals, excelling in academics, emotions, and social skills.

Our mission is to create a lively learning environment rooted in Montessori principles, involving children in meaningful exploration and self-discovery, and incorporating education in mindful lifestyle practices to support brain development, life-balance, and emotional regulation. Through collaborative playgroups and drop-off sessions, we empower children to think critically, respect themselves and others, and embrace their curiosity and potential. We work closely with parents to foster a supportive community where each person feels safe and capable, is cherished, encouraged, and inspired to be a lifelong learner and compassionate person in the community.

Ideal Guide

We refer to our learning community teachers as guides because they do more than just teach. Montessori guides do not stand at the front of the classroom reciting facts to the entire group of students. Instead, they migrate around the classroom, observing and interacting with students individually. They create the learning environment, help children discover their strengths, establish trust, and serve as a role model.

We are seeking enthusiastic, nurturing, creative, and self-motivated teachers with a passion to serve, who desires to work in a supportive community.

Each age group will have 2 dedicated guides assigned to their classroom. We are a young, growing community, so our ideal guides will be willing to grow with us.

SMMC desires a guide who shares the values and mission of Sound Minds Montessori Community. Guides will treat each student as a unique child in a safe, supportive, and compelling academic environment.
