Acceptance Form and Regulations for Summer Funding 2024
Students receiving Northwestern summer funding must meet the following conditions:

1. Have met the departmental rules for good academic progress;
2. Intend to be registered as full-time student this coming Fall Quarter (unless you are graduating at the end of Summer Quarter);
3. Conduct academic pursuits and not take excessive vacationing;
4. Do not hold an outside fellowship that provides some amount of summer tuition and stipend;
5. Not work for pay outside of NU (defined as for more than 10 hours a week, or any arrangement that lasts for more than one month, or has compensation of more than $600). This would include any graduating student with a job that starts prior to September 1.

If you accept the fellowship,it is possible to also work as an hourly RA for a maximum of 20 hours per week. The 20 hours a week is the aggregate of all paid work from all sources combined. Any individual occurrence of paid work that (a) exceeds 10 hours a week, or (b) last for longer than a month, or (c) has compensation of more than $600 requires a permission to work form filed with TGS:
