Participant Preferences Information: "Behind the Scenes of Highly Cited Organizational Ethnographies" PDW
Hello there, we are thrilled to know that you are interested in this exciting PDW which will be filled with a growing community of like-minded scholars. This PDW brings together several top ethnographers in organizational studies [Kimberly Elsbach (UC Davis), Bryant Hudson (IÉSEG), Katherine Kellogg (MIT), Davide Nicolini (Warwick), Juliane Reinecke (King’s College London), Michael Smets (Oxford)] to share detailed experiences at various stages of the ethnographic process. This PDW is right for you if you’re interested in immersive research approaches, especially in organizational settings. You will learn the back-story on what went into producing some of our field’s most loved and cited organizational ethnographies. We are sure this PDW will inspire you and offer a much-needed boost of motivation and support for your own ethnographic or immersive work.
This PDW is structured to enable participant interaction with these scholars in three different segments and formats. First, each scholar will share a brief narrative detailing a particular experience from their fieldwork. Next, scholars will engage in a moderated panel discussion with participant Q&A. Lastly, participants will join small-group roundtable breakouts in which scholars facilitate discussion on specific stages of the ethnographic process (from field site access through journal reviews).
Thank you for joining us!
