Human Trafficking Professional Development
Friday, March 13th 8-9:30 am at John Sevier Middle School

Natalie Ivey will be presenting professional development on human trafficking that is occurring in Northeast TN. She will speak on misconceptions, how to identify individuals who are being trafficked or at-risk, what to do, long-term effects, and resources available. Natalie began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in the 13th Judicial District prosecuting crimes of domestic and sexual violence. She has been the executive director of victim service agencies and led the anti-trafficking task force in Knoxville. She is now the executive director of Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking. She is traveling from Knoxville to provide PD for us! On March 13th all KCS district counselors, SAPs, family liaisons, SROs and some secretaries, principals and teachers will be trained. In July all nurses will be trained. Bus drivers have already been trained. We are thrilled about your attendance since school personal are likely the ones to notice the red flags or have students disclose information to. We look forward to your attendance.
