Tekko Dance Competition - Application (2024)
Thank you for your interest in the competition!  This is the form for 2024.

The Tekko Dance Competition is a competition that occurs every year within the anime convention Tekko in Pittsburgh, PA where the best dancers from across the city and beyond come together to battle it out for the chance to win the best soloist/group in their category. We showcase this for everyone live on our Main Stage so that everyone can celebrate the hard work and passion that went into preparing for this competition!

If you are accepted, you will be invited to the Stage Uzume Discord server where further communication and preparation will take place. Please provide an email which is easiest for you / your group to be contacted at. This will be used as a backup communication method in the event Discord is not a usable platform for you / your group.
Are you competing as a solo performer or as a group? *
A group is defined as any size between two (2) and fifteen (15) members. Reminder: if you are applying from a group affiliated with a dance organization/association/club, each group affiliated must apply using different stage names.
Give us your solo/group bio! *
Please share with us who you are as a performer/group, what you're up to, any history of performances/events/accomplishments/etc. If selected, this bio will be used for the MC sections of the Dance Competition! (Bios that are too long may be cut shorter at our discretion; please aim for no more than 150 words!)

Full legal names required. Legal names will not be shared outside of Tekko or Stage Uzume staff and are used solely for the purpose of facilitating prize support when necessary.

Share whatever social media accounts you use for your solo/group activities. Be it Twitter/Instagram/Facebook/whatever, feel free to plug whatever you want to plug!
Provide us at least two images via a file sharing service (Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, etc.) we can use to promote your involvement in the competition.
This can be pictures of people, logos, etc. You may leave this blank if you don't want any photos or logos used in promoting the dance competition.
Are you / any members of your group under the age of 18? *
If you answered "Yes" to the previous question, please note the names of those who are under the age of 18.
All minors must fill out a Performer Release Form for Minors and return them with your / your group's acknowledgement of acceptance. If you / your group is accepted, this form will be emailed to you.
