ACOE Vaccine Workshop Registration
Now that children ages 5-11 have been approved to receive the Pfizer/Biotech Sars-Cov-2 (COVID) vaccine, we’ve received questions from teachers about how to introduce the science behind how vaccines work and why they are safe and effective at preventing the virus.

The Science Partnership, Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE), and Hayward Unified School District (HUSD) have partnered to create this FREE virtual teacher workshop.

HUSD’s science teacher leaders have developed and piloted a series of lessons to help students make sense of the evidence about vaccines and answer their questions. We are excited to share this lesson sequence and resources with you! To view the lessons, visit www.haywardscience.com

We would like to invite all interested teachers to a workshop on Saturday, February 19th 9AM-12:30PM to explore the lessons and to collaborate with colleagues. The teachers who come to these collaborations will receive the materials they need for their students to engage in these hands-on lessons.

Please fill out this form so we know how many teachers are planning on attending and so that we can get you the materials for your classroom.
