We are now accepting volunteer applications for the 2021 Saskatoon Fringe Theatre Festival!
This year's festival is taking place July 29th to August 7th, 6 - 10 pm on weekdays and 12 - 10 pm on weekends.
In addition to our usual ticketed shows, artisan/food vendors, street artists, buskers and food trucks, we are introducing sites, targeted towards different age groups, that feature activities new to the Fringe such as community art workshops, craft making, carnival games, licensed refreshment areas, etc. The sites are as follows:
Winery by The Refinery - Dufferin Avenue
This site is targeted towards adults. Expect a relaxed environment, with food, wine and even a few games available to the patrons.
Street Beach - 11th Street
This site is targeted towards young adults. It is a beach themed party, located outside the Hose and Hydrant, where there will be games, drinks, food and music.
The Kinsmen Fringe Family Fun Zone - W.E. Graham Park
This site will be targeted towards families with children 12 and under. There will be craft making, workshops led by local artists and games. This is where our bike valet will be located and this is where our Outdoor Stage will be located.
This year we only have three venues: The Broadway Theatre, The Refinery and The Outdoor Stage which, as mentioned above, is located in the Kinsmen Fringe Family Fun Zone.
In addition to the established volunteer positions, there will be opportunity to take on new responsibilities as we are adding roles for our new activities. There will be more opportunity to work outside, on the street, with the patrons and to help our local artists, who are leading workshops in all different mediums of art.
We will give you a ticket voucher for every shift you work! We hope you enjoy the performances!
