Accessibility Information
Most Portland Outright meetings happen at our office, which is located on the Greater Portland Metro (there's a stop directly across the street). We prioritize holding events at accessible community spaces.

Portland Outright's office has a ramp and elevator access into the building, wheelchair accessible gender-neutral bathrooms, and a quiet space to take a break during meetings. Outright Member Meetings include a family-style meal, typically with both a vegetarian and gluten-free option. With advance notice we can work to accommodate other food allergies. Due to our location inside a shared building and community space (our office is co-located in an Avesta residential building), we are not able to guarantee an accessible space for those with scent, chemical, or environmental sensitivities.

We work to have meeting materials printed (can be made available in large format) and presented verbally. We do work in both large group and small group formats, prioritize including breaks into meetings over an hour long, can also offer remote access (via Zoom) to meetings for Members with notice. We use Discord to communicate about meetings, events, and updates which is available on smartphones, personal computers, and has a browser-based option for shared/public computers.

Relevant info about Member Meetings & events during the time of Covid-19
Like many other schools, organizations, and community spaces, Portland Outright has been adapting our meetings for the health and safety of our community. We are currently offering an in-person and remote option for our regular meetings, occasionally meeting completely online when there is higher risk (staff sickness, higher numbers in our community, etc). Do you currently have access to a phone or computer? (If not, we can work with you to help with technology access)
Portland Outright continues to follow public health information, alongside the needs and direction of our Members. This includes: providing access to masks, meeting outdoors whenever possible, and practices that center the safety and wellbeing of those most at risk in our community. Is there anything else related to COVID-19 and access that you'd like to share with us ahead of time? We are also in a practice of ongoing check-ins, in case you think of something later.
