NHFP Community Feedback
The NASA Hubble Fellowship Program (NHFP) is the flagship in a tradition of NASA support of early career excellence in astrophysical research and sets the standard for postdoctoral fellowships in the field. In 2021, NASA Headquarters (HQ) initiated a NASA Hubble Fellowship Program (NHFP) Review, with the aim to identify best practices, gaps, and areas of improvement. The final report highlighted 32 recommendations across five different areas.

A task force was created to identify the best path forward to implement the recommendations and, in the summer 2022, it requested community input to help prioritizing future implementations. That questionnaire was designed to get the astrophysics community’s feedback on all recommendations. Since then, 30% of all recommendations have been implemented.
However, in order to truly improve the NHFP program in a way that adequately responds to the needs of future leaders in the astronomical community, the task force has decided to leverage the community’s thoughts on a sub-set of recommendations that may have a transformational impact on the program, its beneficiaries, and NASA. This year's feedback form (version 2.0) seeks feedback from a diverse range of astrophysicists, but particularly from those in their early career stage (graduate students to early post-docs).

The NHFP fellowship is designed for early career scientists (individuals are eligible to apply up to 4 years post PhD), which makes their input on the program particularly important. Your input will help improve the NHFP for future generations. Please take this questionnaire and share it with other members of the astrophysics community. It should take no more than 15 minutes to fill it out.
