Terms of Reference for the Selection of a Video Editor - Solid
Background and Context:
ANND is an independent, democratic, and civil network, established in 1997, aimed at strengthening and empowering civil society and promoting the values of democracy, respect for human rights, and sustainable development in Arab countries. This is all consistent with the International Bill of Human Rights and the freedom and dignity of the individual, respect for pluralism, equitable distribution of wealth, preservation of the cultural heritage of the region, and to achieve the development priorities of local communities.
ANND consists of 9 national networks and 23 NGOs operating in 12 Arab countries.
ANND’s work is organized according to three main areas:
1. Strengthening the capacity and the role of CSOs in advocacy and lobbying in the field of economic and social policy-making in the Arab region;
2. Strengthening the spaces available for CSOs' participation in economic and social policy-making at the national, regional, and international levels;
3. Promoting and developing the knowledge materials available in the Arab region related to the role of civil society.
Within the Solid Project, ANND organized a multilateral meeting that included representatives of civil society, unions, and employers.
Objectives:
1. Develop a visually compelling video that effectively communicates the key findings, and concepts from the Solid project.
2. Incorporate segments from the interview with the Project Coordinator.
3. Utilize graphics, animations, and visuals to illustrate key points and findings.
4. Deliver a High-definition video production suitable for various platforms and mediums.
Deliverables and Timeframe:
The video editor will be required to deliver a High-definition video production before August 15, 2024.
Qualifications:
- Creative storytelling: Ability to craft compelling narratives through editing, with a keen understanding of pacing, timing, and visual flow to engage and captivate audiences.
- Proficient in video editing: Expertise in industry-standard software.
- Strong attention to detail: Meticulous approach to editing to ensure accuracy, continuity, and visual coherence throughout the video, including precise trimming, color correction, and audio synchronization.
- Adaptability and problem-solving: Capacity to adapt to various project requirements and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, whether it involves working with different file formats, resolving rendering problems, or integrating feedback from clients or team members.
- Collaborative communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members, translating creative visions into tangible edits while maintaining open channels of feedback and ensuring project goals are met within deadlines.
Fees: $3,800
