Healthy Acadia/Maine Alliance for Recovery is excited to announce the Connecticut Community for Addiction (CCAR) Recovery Coaching in the ED.

February 11th - 12th - Hilton Garden, Bangor (16-hour course) 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
These 16-hour training will be offered as a two-day course from 8:30 am-5:00 pm each day, and is FREE of charge.
Emergency Departments now recognize that Recovery Coaches can make a difference in this high paced setting by connecting those that are present in the ED to pathways of recovery that can be sustained in the long term.
This course will help participants:
Describe the roles and functions of the Recovery Coach working in the Emergency Department
Understand and practice staying in your lane
Develop skills to advocate and educate staff, patients, etc.
Use of Motivational Interviewing (MI) to bring people through the stages of change into Recovery
Further develop your art of Recovery Coaching

Attendees arrive on time and stay until the end of the training day to complete the entire 8-hour course, and fulfill CCAR requirements to receive the certificate of attendance
