Final year BTech/ MTech students (who are finishing in 2022) from CFTIs belonging to SC/ ST category are invited to visit IIT Madras for 3 days between May 10th to 12th. This is currently open to only mechanical sciences (Mech. Engg., Civil Engg. or similar departments).


IIT Madras will pay for the travel and accomodation of the visiting students. During this visit, they will be exposed to various oppurtunities available at IIT Madras for post graduate education and the long-term benefits of such a pursuit. Further, they will be visiting our facilities - labs as well as other student facilities. They will also be interacting with faculty in their fields of interest to understand the kind of research and development activity that is being carried out at IIT Madras. The interaction will be with the following Departments at IITM: Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Civil Engineering, Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering and Ocean Engineering. With this, we hope to convince you to look at post-graduate education as a very good option to further their career.
