Swim Meet Committee

This committee will ensure that families are volunteering for jobs at Swim Meets. They also ensure that Swim Meet volunteers are properly trained and understand their role and responsibilities. Additionally, the committee will keep track and report on family volunteerism at Swim Meets.

Social Media/Communications

This committee will handle communication such as publishing and distributing newsletters (with information provided by the coach), maintaining the website and Facebook page, and updating bulletin boards.

Fundraising

Sea Snakes would love to raise money for any of our activities, but also for team swim fins, caps, and t-shirts.  We are open to ideas of opportunities such as Chipotle fundraisers, participating in the USA Swim-A-Thon, and other ideas.  This committee would also be responsible for getting the concession stand ready to go on home meets (but other volunteers will help actually run the concessions during the meet).

Team Spirit

All teams benefit from social interaction among swimmers and among parents.  We would like to have a few social events planned for our team.  Some ideas include: popsicles party after practice, a team potluck dinner, bowling at Shepherd Student Center, 4th of July party.  The possibilities are endless!

Spirit Wear

All swimmers will receive a t-shirt as part of their registration.  However, we would like to also offer other team spirit wear like other t-shirts, hoodies, sweats, swim caps, googles, team swimsuits, and other options as well. This committee will help organize and distribute these orders.

Community Outreach

It is important for teams to serve and give back.  This committee will help organize ways we can serve and volunteer in our community.
