What happens after you submit your request to withdraw
We will send a confirmation via email or VAC that your withdrawal has been processed. If your application is in "nominated" status, we will ask UCEAP to withdraw your application in the UCEAP portal. Depending on your withdrawal date, we will also notify relevant campus units (Office of the Registrar and the UCSD Financial Aid Office).
Deferring Program Participation
You may not defer your nomination to a subsequent term, but we encourage you to reapply or ask us to transfer your application (when possible).
Academic/Financial Implications
You are strongly encouraged to discuss your intent to withdraw with a study abroad advisor to be certain you fully comprehend the academic and financial implications prior to making your decision.
Reinstating Program Participation
Please note that reinstatement after your withdrawal is processed is highly unlikely and you may not be able to rejoin a program after being withdrawn.
