Project TEAL (
https://www.projectteal.org/) is a student-led initiative committed to providing young people with the knowledge and tools to become engaged citizens in the democratic process. Through tolerance, engagement, action, and learning, we believe that civic engagement is the key to dismantling the polarization that has come to dominate our geopolitical climate today.
As the Director of Outreach, you will be responsible for ideating/devising outreach methods for the followings tasks: 1) expanding/promoting our organization through digital outreach on social media, 2) collaborating with other organizations for events/campaigns, 3) media outreach to garner publicity for our cause, and 4) promoting our curriculum through various means (such as contacting school districts, asking other institutions to publish our curriculum on their site, etc.). You will also be responsible for leading our team of Outreach Managers and attending weekly National Team meetings. Individuals interested in applying for the Director of Outreach position should possess strong communication abilities, adept creativity in strategizing outreach methods, and a ready willingness to work with others.
If you consistently exemplify your ability to fulfill the above responsibilities with professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm, you may hold this position until you graduate from high school. Once an applicant is selected for a role, they will be expected to begin immediately.
You must be in grades 9-12 to be selected as the Director of Outreach for Project TEAL. Additionally, the Director of Outreach should be able to commit at least 4 to 6 hours per week to this position.
